Lygon St Stroll

Hey TM readers,

Hope your all well and enjoying life. I’m going to continue on from where I left off on my last post-time. There isn’t enough time in week anymore. I was out last Friday with my cousins and thought I will share that in my next post and before I know it I’m posting about it 7 days later. It just went by like that (clicks the fingers).

I just don’t get it. There’s no blessings in our time these days. I no longer look forward to my weekend because it just rolls around and departs before I know it. Subhanallah I wish if I can just stop the time for a moment and try to use it properly. When I think of it and reflect at the empathise that Islam and our beloved prophet Muhammed peace be upon him put on time it just goes to prove how important it is to man.

In the Quran Allah the Almighty says: “By (the Token of) Time (through the ages), Verily Man is in loss, Except such as have Faith, and do righteous deeds, and (join together) in the mutual teaching of Truth, and of Patience and Constancy. Qur’an (103:1-3)

The phrophet s.a.w said “Lose no time to do good deeds before you are caught up by one of seven calamities awaiting you: a starvation which may impair your wisdom; a prosperity which may mislead you; an ailment which may damage your health; an old age which may harm your senses; a sudden death; the Dajjal (Antichrist); or Doomsday, which is indeed the hardest and most bitter.” (at-Tirmidhi, al-Baihaqi)

Here is a little something I read once and stuck with me:

To realize the value of ONE YEAR, ask a student who has failed a grade.
To realize the value of ONE MONTH, ask a mother who has given birth to a pre-mature baby.
To realize the value of ONE WEEK, ask an editor of a weekly newspaper.
To realize the value of ONE DAY, ask a daily wage laborer who has kids to feed.
To realize the value of ONE HOUR, ask the lovers who are waiting to meet.
To realize the value of ONE MINUTE, ask a person who has missed the train.
To realize the value of ONE SECOND, ask a person who has avoided an accident.
To realize the value of ONE MILLI-SECOND, ask the person who has won a silver medal in the Olympics.
