Daylesford Day Trip

Another Friday and another outing for me!!!!!!!!!!!!! I organised a day trip to Daylesford (1.5 hours out of Melbourne) with my sister and cousin. It was a wonderful and long awaited trip. Daylesford is a serene destination for a weekend away or simply a day trip. The region contains Australia’s largest concentration of natural mineral springs. Renowned for it’s retreat getaways and beautiful chalets. I visited the area 5 years ago while in my final year of schooling. Three relaxing days with 60 girls . Can’t go wrong right.

A quick coffee before setting off for a stroll along the lake. The weather was amazing. The warm sun out and a beautiful breeze we ventured off to look for, what little spring water was available, at this time of the year.

After a few hours strolling the banks and stopping at a few recommended sights we headed to the local Hepburn Spring Bathhouse and Spa. The area acknowledged as Australia’s spa centre. The bathhouse is located in a picturesque location, nestled in between lush green gardens and plenty of natural lights. Entre the place and we were welcomed and treated to fabulous service. A 45 minute bath in refreshing and cleansing spring water was simply amazing. It was soo good I wasn’t ready to leave when time was up.

Spring water is known for all the health benefits it has, especially for the skin. A rejuvenated and new me stepped out to the balcony to sip the herbal tea prepared for us. Just writing about it now is making me yarn to have that 45 min again.

Enough of the blah blah and now to the photo’s:
